What do I need to bring for my first visit?

New patients must bring identification, your referral and insurance information. If under 18, a legal guardian must be present with you.

Can I fill out the medical forms prior to my visit?

Yes, you can download Patient Forms, print and complete. If the forms are completed when you arrive, then you will only need to be here 5-10 minutes early. If the forms are not completed, please arrive 15-20 minutes early.

Do I need to be early for my scheduled appointment time?

If you are a new patients and you completed the patient forms prior to your arrival, then you will only need to be here 5-10 minutes early. If you have not completed the forms, please arrive 15-20 minutes early.

What information should I bring for the doctor?

Bring a detailed list of medications, past medical history, doctors notes, x-rays, and MRIs.

I’ve had a change of insurance since my last visit. When should I notify the office?

Notify the office prior to your next schedule visit.

Am I responsible for a payment at the time of my visit?

Yes, you are responsibly for co-pays and deductibles.

It is my first visit to Foot & Ankle Surgery of New Braunfels. Will I be seeing a doctor?

Yes, the doctor with whom you made the appointment will see you.

When do I use ice on my injury?

Use ice for 10-15 minutes to relieve ain and to keep the swelling down.

When do I use heat on my injury?

You would only use heat for 10-15 minutes when the injury is no longer acute. Heath helps to restore range of motion and decrease soft tissue stiffness.

If I have a fracture, will I be put in a cast?

Maybe. The doctor will make a decision on whether a cast or a splint is the best for you. Sever fractures may require surgery.

What happens if I need an X-Ray?
